First of all let me just say I'm a sucker for good deals when it comes to shopping! I like to think of myself as a "frugal fashionista." People give me a hard time, but I rarely pay over $20 for ANYTHING...unless of course it's something special. So on to today's fabulous find...Over the weekend I found this super funky dress by Mink Pink - it regularly retails for $82, but I got it for $11!!! (Thank you Macy's 70% off rack) Talk about a total steal, but that's actually not the point. I wanted to share the news, or maybe a reminder to my fellow trendsetters, what a beautiful compliment rich tones are to ALL body types! We all know the rules about black making you look "thinner," but who wants to look like they're attending a funeral every day?
Deep tones, like gem tones, can have the same affect on your shape without the dowdy appearance. Don't get me wrong, I have an entire section in my closet dedicated to variations of the LBD but there's no denying the affect wearing a color can have on your mood. So be brave and experiment with your wardrobe! Throw in a lucious gem tone and I guarantee heads will turn!
